ADV Moto Rentals

Renting a motorcycle for your Colombian ADV adventure can be tricky.   And finding the perfect rental partner can make your adventure more enjoyable while removing the stress of reserving the right bike for your trip.

At Viajeros del Sur, we now have two bikes available for friends who choose to travel in Colombia.  Given our 30 years of exploring the off-road of our country, we can also add detailed maps, GPX files, and some primary points that we think you can explore along your route.

If you are looking for more machines, we will also put you in touch with our preferred rental partners at a discounted rate that we can get with them.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Does the bike come with insurance?
A: All legal motorcycles in Colombia must operate with mandatory insurance.  However, we add incremental insurance to the bike in case we have a complete loss.  Each rider is responsible for a  deductible ($2,500 for the BMW, $1000 for the Himalayan) for any serious damages to the bike.  We expect the bike to have normal wear/tear and scratches here and there.  Before each ride, we do a full photo assessment of condition that is handed to you and condition that it is returned.  Riders are responsible for damages (up to the deductible limit) if there are substantial damages such as bent rims, heavily dented parts, broken levers, etc.

Q: How does booking work?
A: You simply fill out the form above and we get back to you within 24-48 hours to let you know if those dates are available.  If they are, you will be given a contract to book your bike and make a hold-deposit.  We will then hold the bike for those dates for you.

Q: Do you guide trips?
A: For the most part, we don’t do that for bike renters.  We share a wealth of knowledge with you to guide your own adventure.  but if we happen to be free on the dates that you travel, and you want us to join for a part, we may tag along.

Q: Do you support riders with information for the trip?
A: Yes! We have GPX maps and several tour sheets we can share with you depending on what you are looking to explore.

Q: Which tours do you recommend the most for first time Colombia riders?
A: Here are two we recommend!
